I went into Budget Brakes just needing new brake pads. My car was completely fine before this, no weird noises, no performance issues at all. I chose them over another local shop because they had so many great reviews, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience was a nightmare! Right after picking up the car, it felt noticeably heavier. I figured it was just the new pads breaking in, but things quickly got worse. Acceleration became a massive struggle, as before the service, I could comfortably cruise at 75 mph on the highway, afterward, hitting even 60 mph felt like I was forcing the car to do something it couldn't handle, and the engine started making a heavy and strained noise, especially when going uphill. To make matters worse, I noticed my brake fluid level was dropping in a scary way. I ended up taking my car to another shop for a second opinion. They discovered that Budget Brakes had reused the old brake hardware instead of replacing it, and they completely skipped lubricating the slide pins. While skipping the lube might just be lazy practice, the fluid leak is a massive safety hazard. To top it all off, I found out they overcharged me for aftermarket parts

Flat out refused to complete their free brake inspection without committing to having them do the repairs. Called asking about cost of services. I was not quoted. Instead I was asked to bring my vehicle in at 7:30 the next morning for a free inspection. While I was completing the check-in, I asked about price. I was informed that to change the rotors and pads for my vehicle would be $500 per axle, at least $1,000 total. I informed them that I can get OEM for all four rotors and pads for less than the cost of completing the job for only two. The gentleman behind the counter became argumentative, stating in a condescending tone, “Yeah, but then you’d still have to do the work yourself?” I politely informed the gentleman that I was fully aware that at least an hour of labor would be required. I asked if they would do the work if I provided the parts. Respectfully, they informed me that was against their policy. No issue with the policy. I politely asked for them to complete the free brake inspection and that I we would go from there. The gentleman working the counter then said he wasn’t going to “waste time” with bringing my vehicle into the shop to complete the actual inspection. Ins

Rick and his team were really nice and very helpful. They had the brakes done quickly. They didn't try to push more work than what was actually needed. The price was great. Overall it was the best experience I've had getting repairs done to my car. I highly recommend them.

Wish I would have caught the guys name that helped me but he was great. Quick service and very up front with pricing but not pushy about trying get you to replace your entire suspension when you come in for brakes. Will be going back for sure
